What is it that I bring to the table as a person and a planner?
Welcome to planning with Marisa, I’m so glad you’re here. Let me tell you a bit about myself and how I found my way into this beautiful world of wedding planning.
My journey began in the realm of interior design, where I developed a deep love for creating spaces. That passion eventually meandered into the world of film , where I honed my skills
Along the way, I discovered a new love, hosting! This is what sparked my family run Airbnb and acreage, to launch my family’s wedding venue, The Owl Grove, where I poured my heart into planning weddings for couples, and in 2023, for myself! So let’s just say I know what it’s like to be on the other side as the bride.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve taken all those years of experience and passion to work more hands-on outside of my venue. I know firsthand how overwhelming the process can feel, but I also know the joy that comes from seeing everything come together seamlessly. I am extraordinarily organized, deeply grounded, a slight occasional comedian and thrive on being the calm within the storm on your special day.

My approach to wedding planning is simple: I want to work seamlessly with you, your partner, and the incredible vendors who bring your vision to life. Vendor relationships are integral to ensuring a smooth, stress-free event, and I’m proud to have built a trusted network of talented professionals who I can always rely on. And have of course, fun along the way!
I also believe in being prepared for anything. With my “just-in-case” mindset, I keep solutions for unexpected challenges in my back pocket and have the connections and resources to handle whatever comes our way. Beyond weddings, I’m also an actor and avid writer with over eight years of experience in the film industry. Working on film sets taught me how to adapt, stay calm under pressure, and bring creative visions to life, skills that translate beautifully into wedding and event planning.
Additionally, I’m part of a talented bridal beauty collective made up of amazing women, mamas, and genuine souls who are here to streamline all your bridal beauty needs. From your classic vendors, custom swag , to hair and makeup, skincare and beyond, we’ve got you covered. No matter what, my team is always available for your special day.

As your Coordinator, I’m here to make sure your wedding day runs seamlessly, so you can focus on enjoying every moment. About 4 weeks before your big day, I’ll step in to assist, we’ll have a meeting to go over all your desires for the big day, crafting a detailed timeline to keep everything on track, prior to this I’ll be available to give added vendor suggestions and recommendations.
On the day itself, I’ll be behind the scenes managing every aspect: ensuring vendors arrive and set up as planned, keeping the schedule running smoothly, taking care of setup and take down. My goal is to bring your vision to life and give you peace of mind, so you and your loved ones can fully embrace the celebration without stress. Let me handle the details while you soak in the magic of your day!
